Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Release Specialist to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our Engagement Services Team, you will be responsible for managing releases, Copado deployment pipeline, and all change management processes.

Responsibilities
  • Manage Change Control Process, ensuring teams follow established procedures and support teams in the Change Advisory Board.
  • Assess current DevOps processes and procedures, identifying opportunities for improvement and proposing enhancements to the Salesforce Release Process.
  • Participate in release planning with Product Owners, Architects, and Development Teams.
  • Support Copado Deployment Process and Tool, ensuring teams follow defined processes for releasing Salesforce features.
  • Validate releases have passed all necessary quality gates and are ready to be deployed.
  • Own the Salesforce Release Process, delivering reporting and analytics on the end-to-end release lifecycle.
  • Work across multiple products and functional groups to release multiple platform features concurrently.
  • Deployments to production environment may require non-traditional hours.
  • Assist Salesforce Development Team with DevOps processes and any Copado troubleshooting that may arise.
  • Ensure proper backup strategies are in place, owning the day-to-day operations of OwnBackup.
  • Perform sandbox data seeding and data restore processes as necessary.
  • Ensure security and compliance requirements are met as they pertain to the Salesforce release and backup strategy.
Requirements
  • Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption.
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform, with the ability to configure custom objects, formula fields, flows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements.
  • Experience in a Healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment is preferred.
  • 3 years of experience as a Salesforce administrator is preferred.
  • Salesforce Admin certified is required.
  • Salesforce App Builder certified is preferred.
Education

A High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, or an Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience is required.
