About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Manager to lead our Pediatric Burn Unit at the Detroit Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the unit, overseeing patient care, and ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of service.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Pediatric Burn Unit, including staffing, patient flow, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement plans of care for patients, ensuring seamless transitions and high-quality outcomes.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards of care for the unit, in accordance with DMC's guidelines and regulations.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop a team of skilled nurses and support staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan.
  • Minimum three years of progressive experience in pediatric nursing, preferably in a burn unit or similar setting.
