Duke Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Croasdaile Primary Care. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support services in a fast-paced medical practice.

Job Summary

We are committed to providing compassionate care that changes the lives of patients, their loved ones, and the greater community. Our Certified Medical Assistant will work closely with medical and nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.

Responsibilities
  • Taking medical histories and recording vital signs
  • Explaining treatment procedures to patients and preparing them for examinations and procedures
  • Providing administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling billing and bookkeeping
  • Assisting with laboratory services, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program (Level I)
  • 1-3 years of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant (Levels II and III)
  • Working knowledge of sanitation, personal hygiene, and basic health and safety precautions
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and clinic staff
  • Typing skills, medical terminology, and ability to document and communicate pertinent information
