Job Title: Family Support Specialist - Care Coordinator

New Hope Services Inc. is a leading provider of human services in Southern Indiana and beyond. As a Family Support Specialist - Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting families with young children to achieve their full potential.

Estimated Salary: $43,920 per year (based on 40 hours/week and $17/hour)

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide home-based support to families with young children, focusing on child development, parenting skills, and stress management.
  • Ensure that enrolled clients receive timely and effective services, meeting or exceeding service standards.
  • Transport families to appointments and activities as needed, promoting healthy relationships and community connections.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, including documentation of home visits, family goal plans, and developmental screenings.
  • Link families to relevant community resources, fostering a supportive network for their well-being.
  • Participate in regular supervision sessions to ensure high-quality services and address any challenges or concerns.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate strong judgment and decision-making skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.
  • Develop trusting relationships with diverse families, recognizing the importance of cultural sensitivity and awareness.
  • Possess a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a reliable vehicle for transportation purposes.
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., education, social services) is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years' experience working with children and families is desirable.
