We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented member to join our Purchasing Department. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in sourcing and acquiring goods and services essential for our operations. Strong communication skills, the ability to work autonomously, and prior experience in the construction sector are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase requests from internal teams and generate purchase orders as needed.
  • Assess supplier and manufacturer pricing for precision.
  • Oversee inventory levels to ensure proper stock maintenance.
  • Provide weekly stock level reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Suggest alternative products to internal teams based on availability and pricing.
  • Maintain thorough records of purchases and pricing.
  • Verify invoices before forwarding to the accounting department.
  • Track material deliveries.
  • Collaborate with various departments to fulfill purchasing requirements.
  • Establish relationships with vendor sales representatives.
  • Perform additional purchasing and inventory management tasks as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A college degree with two years of purchasing experience or five years of successful purchasing experience in the construction industry.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Understanding of supply chain management systems and practices.
