Lead Arborist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Arborist to join our team at Nelson Tree Service LLC. As a key member of our vegetation management crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the productivity of daily operations and working closely with management to determine recruiting/hiring needs, deadlines, and safety protocols.

• Plan, coordinate, and assign daily work for crew after receiving/interpreting orders from a General Foreperson/Line Clearance Supervisor.
• Conduct field training/retraining, instructing crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforce safe work practices, as experience, judgment, company policy, and OSHA specifies and conducts safety training in accordance with company policies and procedures.

To succeed in this role, you must have:

• A valid commercial Driver license (CDL) required.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Organization skills and ability to multi-task.
• The ability to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• No fear of heights.

You will work in proximity to energized power lines, around excessive noise from machines, chain saw, wood chipper and other equipment with hearing protection. You will also work in all temperatures and weather and will be exposed to nature, i.e., irritating plants and biting or stinging insects, dust, etc.

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. Additionally, you will receive benefits such as paid time off, health insurance, and retirement plan matching.
