Caretaker Position

Join the Greater St. Louis Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, as a Caretaker at Beaumont Scout Reservation. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the delivery of impactful camping and outdoor experiences to Scouts and outside groups.
Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional customer service to all visitors, representing the council and enforcing established policies and procedures.
- Utilize the online reservation system to monitor property use and verify activities are conducted under trained leadership.
- Prepare and promote volunteer opportunities for individuals, groups, and businesses.
- Maintain harmonious relationships with local officials, adjoining landowners, and neighboring communities.
- Keep physical property and equipment in operational condition, ensuring health, safety, sanitation, and good organization of the camp.
- Develop and follow project schedules for regular inspections, routine maintenance, and ordering supplies.
- Adhere to camp budgets for annual operations, events, and capital projects.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical college education preferred.
- Experience in property management/administration preferred.
- Ability to register as a member of the BSA.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Ability to creatively problem solve and be flexible in daily management and operations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Basic fiscal management and budget development skills.
- Basic knowledge of computers (Windows, Microsoft Office) and use of email and the internet.
