Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead our Montecito location. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and drive business growth while building lasting relationships with our customers.

About the Role

The Store Manager will oversee all aspects of store operations, including visual merchandising, inventory management, and staff development. You'll be responsible for creating a welcoming environment that promotes trust, integrity, and superior performance standards. Your goal will be to deliver consistent results, driving revenue and profitability while ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Leadership: Demonstrate sales leadership by engaging with customers, ensuring best-in-class customer service, and promoting products effectively.
  • Team Management: Foster a positive and professional team environment, leading by example and promoting trust, integrity, and high performance standards.
  • Operations: Manage day-to-day store operations, adhering to company protocols and system requirements.
  • Analysis and Insights: Analyze store performance, sell-through, and business trends, using KPIs to inform business decisions and drive improvements.
  • Marketing Support: Collaborate with the marketing department to cultivate a community, increase brand awareness, and attract new customers through events and partnerships.
  • Merchandising: Implement and maintain effective merchandising strategies, executing directives and supporting buying teams on inventory needs and re-orders.
  • Customer Experience: Resolve customer concerns with compassion and timeliness, partnering with other team members to provide an unmatched customer experience.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock levels and support buying teams on inventory needs and re-orders.
  • Training and Development: Recruit, train, and develop store team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, including expenses, inventory, and employee attendance.

Requirements

  • Experience: 4+ years of retail management experience, preferably in home decor or interiors.
  • Culture Fit: Consistently delivers outstanding customer service and can lead their team to do the same.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to drive revenue, manage inventory and budgets for profitability, and lead a team to achieve exceptional results.
  • Communication Skills: Strong internal and external communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional time management skills, knowing how to delegate and ask for assistance when needed.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive preferred; knowledge of Shopify POS, Netsuite, Slack, Gorgias, and Endear a plus.
  • Location Requirements: Must live in the Montecito, CA area and have dependable transportation.
  • Lifting Requirements: Ability to lift and mobilize large items, up to 50 lbs., while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Be able to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per year (contingent upon experience)
