Quality Assurance Specialist

As a Quality Assurance Specialist at STAAR Surgical, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our materials and products. Your primary responsibilities will include performing testing for endotoxin, force, contact angle, and other parameters. You will also be responsible for conducting routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products according to established operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform testing for endotoxin, force, contact angle, and other parameters
- Conduct routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products
- Compile data for documentation of test procedures
- Participate in the preparation of investigations, summaries, and reports
- Review data for compliance to specifications and report abnormalities
- Revise and update standard operating procedures as needed
- Responsible for daily log activities, including GLP compliance and maintenance of lab supplies and equipment
- Project tracking and coordination
- Participation in validation/qualification activities
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in a science curriculum preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in FDA regulated industry (food, pharmaceutical, or medical device)
Skills:
- Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel and Word
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills
- Laboratory skills required
Pay Range:
$67-$80k - Final compensation/salary will be dependent on experience.
