At Gurwin Health Care Agency, we're seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Home Health Aide to provide exceptional care to our clients in various locations throughout Suffolk County, New York.

About the Role

We're looking for an individual who shares our passion for delivering high-quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors, or patients requiring home care. As a Certified Home Health Aide with Gurwin Health Care Agency, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients in their homes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care to patients in their homes, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
Requirements
  • You must be a Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) in the state of NY.
  • You need to have reliable transportation.
  • Able to work a minimum of 35 hours/week and every other weekend.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Fluent in English (able to speak and understand).
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Satisfactory completion of New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalency.
  • Demonstrated adequate literacy and simple arithmetic skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, based on experience and location.
