We are seeking a highly skilled IT Asset Management Specialist to join our team at the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority.

Job Description

As an IT Asset Management Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the integrity of our IT Asset Repository and Configuration Management System. You will oversee the management of IT assets throughout their lifecycle, from procurement to decommission and disposal. Your primary objective will be to ensure that all assets are accurately tracked and accounted for, with up-to-date information on their status, location, and usage.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain the accuracy and completeness of our IT Asset Repository, including HW/SW assets.
  2. Operate and manage the IT Asset Management Lifecycle across MIS, ensuring seamless transitions between asset states.
  3. Develop, implement, and enhance policies and procedures for tracking company assets throughout their lifecycle.
  4. Collaborate with IT Financial Management to guarantee that all assets are under contract for support.
  5. Understand and leverage 3rd party/non-warranty support to mitigate security risks.
  6. Audit and verify data normalization activities to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  7. Aggregate software purchasing and license data to inform strategic decision-making.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least seven (7) years of experience in IT procurement or asset management, including contract management, software licenses, and maintenance agreements.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with staff and management at all levels.
  • Familiarity with ITIL and understanding of enterprise architecture.
  • Strong analytical, data processing, and problem-solving skills.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is around $83,000-$100,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
