We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Trauma Program team at Ascension Via Christi. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring the highest level of care and quality outcomes.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, ensuring timely and effective communication.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute care.
Requirements
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
- Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year ICU experience, Trauma experience preferred.
