About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced National Sales Trainer to join our team at Nutramax Laboratories.

Job Description

The National Sales Trainer will play a pivotal role in driving sales performance across Nutramax, aligning with our mission, core values, and leadership model principles. This individual will work closely with a cross-functional team to develop and execute comprehensive sales training programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Training Program Development: Design and implement a standardized product training program that aligns with company goals, utilizing the Precise Selling methodology and incorporating adult learning techniques and instructional design principles.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with sales management and product experts to ensure alignment between training initiatives and sales strategies, regularly reviewing and updating training content based on participant feedback, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • New Hire Onboarding: Facilitate training for new sales representatives and other Nutramax employees, including on-the-job (OJT) training, workshops, and webinars to enhance overall skillsets.
  • Ride-Alongs and Performance Evaluation: Participate in ride-alongs with sales team members, providing feedback and assessing performance to measure the effectiveness of training initiatives and close knowledge and/or skill gaps.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7+ years of direct veterinary clinic sales experience, with a demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding targets; corporate sales training experience is a plus.
  • Strong Coaching and Mentoring Skills: Develop outstanding coaching and mentoring capabilities, with a track record of developing sales teams and growing key veterinary clinic accounts.
  • Performance Measurement and Assessment: Ability to measure performance and assess training effectiveness through metrics, adjusting programs accordingly.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and collaborate with diverse teams.
