Epidemiologist Traveler for VA Disability Assessments
1 week ago
We are seeking a licensed audiologist to conduct medical assessments for U.S. veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. This role involves traveling across the United States, staying in each destination city for a week at a time, and conducting exams from Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will have an Au.D degree from an ASHA-accredited school, hold a current license as an audiologist, and possess malpractice insurance coverage.
The salary for this position is $3000 per week, with health insurance options available. As an added benefit, MRG Exams provides ASHA Learning Pass membership for continuing education units (CEUs).
This travel audiologist position offers a flexible schedule, with no evenings, weekends, or on-call duties. You will typically travel from your home Sunday evening and return Friday evening, assessing 3-6 veterans per day on average. The role requires reviewing and documenting medical records, performing Maryland CNC tests and puretone audiometric tests, and completing Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) in a computer portal. It does not involve prescribing medical treatments or devices. This position is open to all states due to portability rules, making it an excellent opportunity for those looking to explore different locations while serving the veteran community.
