Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $54,000 - $90,000, with a competitive total rewards program that includes an annual discretionary bonus and rich benefits offerings. This includes paid family & medical leave, competitive PTO, and remote work options. We also offer competitive and robust medical, dental, vision, life long-term disability, AD&D, EAP, FSA, and Voluntary Life, ADD, and LTC options, as well as a generous firm-contributed health savings account and a pre-tax transportation/parking plan including an employer monthly subsidy of $100 for individuals who work 3+ days/week in the office.

Job Description

This is a hybrid position that provides legal and administrative support to private client attorneys in the Benefits, Tax, and Private Client (BTP) practice group. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience providing legal administrative support, preferably in wealth management, estate planning, and/or non-profit law. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing legal document preparation and filing support, including revising, proofreading, and formatting estate planning documents and nonprofit organization formation documents.
  • Assisting with word processing, including keyboard correspondence and simple to complex legal documents and forms from transcription, handwritten drafts, or notes.
  • Supporting timekeeping and billing, including entering, proofreading, and closing timekeepers' time entries in billing software.
  • Communicating with clients and outside counsel via phone and email, as well as scheduling client meetings and coordinating client holiday cards and gifts.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required, with a certificate or college degree in administrative assistant, legal assistant/secretary, or paralegal program, or related field preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience providing legal administrative support, preferably in wealth management, estate planning, and/or non-profit law.
  • Basic understanding of accounting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in common office software, including Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with law firm software, such as HotDocs, iManage, Chrome River, Carpe Diem, Aderant, Intapp, Rendezvous, Box, Workday, Workshare Compare, Metadata Assistant, and InterAction is preferred.
