Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Document Specialist to join our team at Gray Hawk Land Solutions. This is an on-site position located in La Junta, CO and Wheatland, WY.

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of all phases of a right-of-way project, including line list development, construction, and maintenance. The individual will be responsible for preparing and processing ROW acquisition easement documents, as well as maintaining accurate records and information on the overall status of the project.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain organized files and records, including easements, lease documents, real estate deeds, and other relevant documents;
  • Create system line lists as requested and conduct in-house ROW and title searches;
  • Scan documents into client systems and add metadata to optimize searching and retrieval;
  • Review and understand land acquisition agreements, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies;
  • Use Microsoft Office software, including Excel and Word, to maintain databases and generate reports;
  • Develop strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders;
  • Learn new systems quickly and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines;
  • Utilize GIS software and other tools to analyze data and optimize reporting functions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field;
  • Minimum three years of experience in document preparation and processing, preferably in ROW projects;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks based on project timelines;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and ability to proof-read complex documents.
Compensation and Benefits:

This is a full-time, six-day-per-week position offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, and dental insurance. The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $65,000-$75,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
