About the Job

This is a Class A CDL required position that involves performing routine maintenance tasks, repairing damaged parts, and conducting diagnostic tests to identify vehicle deficiencies. You will also be responsible for keeping shop equipment operating efficiently, troubleshooting breakdowns, and maintaining supplies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests;
  • Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules;
  • Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems;
  • Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives;
  • Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs;
  • Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions;
  • Contains costs by using warranty and evaluating service and parts options;
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred;
  • Class A CDL required or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire;
  • Good mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities;
