About the Role

Penn State Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. As a nurse care specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of improving health through patient care, research, education, and community outreach.

Job Summary

This full-time position involves working on the 5Th South Medical/Surgical unit at Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center. You will be responsible for assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining accurate medical records. Your expertise and compassion will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Asest patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients.
  • Advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records, and administer medications to patients while monitoring for reactions and side effects.
