Job Description:
As a critical care nurse specialist at our new Belmont, NC location, you will be part of a unique unit that cares for critical, intermediate, and medical-surgical patients. You will work in a collaborative environment with a focus on patient-centric care.
You will have the opportunity to provide compassionate care to high-acuity patients (1 RN: 1-2 patients) and intermediate/med-surg patients (1 RN: 3-4 patients). Our team provides excellent orientation with a focus on ACLS, Basic Arrhythmias, Intermediate and Med-Surg ICU core training, Critical Drips, and more.
Responsibilities:
- To render professional nursing care to a group of assigned patients within the hospital
- Collaborate with the medical staff and other members of the health care team to provide quality patient care
- Perform all activities in accordance with approved policies and guides
- Supervise and delegate to ancillary personnel
Requirements:
- Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state compact license)
- BSN preferred
- Professional nursing certification preferred
- Recent acute care experience within past 3 years preferred
- Meets general hospital and departmental competency requirements
- Current technical certificates such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NIH Stroke Scale Certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), STABLE or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) as required by specialty area
