Diesel Mechanic

Key Responsibilities:

Pacific Rail Services is seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our team at the Union Pacific Global II facility in Northlake, IL. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience, knowledge, and a passion for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment.

Responsibilities include:

• 
  
• Maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, including locomotives and railcars
  
• Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and filter replacements
  
• Identifying and troubleshooting equipment issues
  
• Collaborating with other team members to ensure timely and efficient repairs
  
• Providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers
  

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• 
  
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  
• The ability to pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
  
• Excellent mechanical skills and knowledge of diesel engines
  
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
  
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
