About the Role:
As a Diagnostic Sonographer at Northeast Georgia Health System Inc, you will perform ultrasound procedures at a technical level that requires independent judgment and initiative. Your primary responsibility will be to apply ultrasound for sonographic diagnosis, utilizing your skills and knowledge to produce high-quality images.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate sonographic equipment according to equipment specifications.
- Produce quality sonograms consistently within department standards.
- Follow good radiation safety practices when applicable.
- Maintain patient records according to department standards.
- Exhibit team participation and provide patient education pertinent to the exam being performed.
Requirements:
- Must be ARDMS registered in Physics.
- Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- High school diploma or GED and graduate of an accredited ARDMS program.
- One year of experience preferred.
