Job Summary

The Police Officer - Enforcement and Security Specialist will be responsible for enforcing laws, rules, and regulations within the facility, as well as ensuring the safety and security of all individuals on VA controlled property. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and possess a strong understanding of law enforcement principles and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforcement of Laws and Regulations: The Police Officer - Enforcement and Security Specialist will be responsible for enforcing laws, rules, and regulations within the facility, including those related to theft, assault, and other crimes.
  • Safety and Security: The Police Officer - Enforcement and Security Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all individuals on VA controlled property, including patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Crime Prevention: The Police Officer - Enforcement and Security Specialist will be responsible for identifying potential security risks and developing strategies to prevent crime.
  • Collaboration with Other Agencies: The Police Officer - Enforcement and Security Specialist will work closely with local law enforcement agencies to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of specialized experience in law enforcement or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of law enforcement principles and procedures.
