About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Estimating and Project Management to join our team at Babbidge Construction Company, Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive estimating strategies to ensure accurate and competitive bids for construction projects.
  • Lead and manage a team of estimators to prepare detailed estimates, budgets, and proposals for clients.
  • Collaborate with the construction operations team to develop project schedules, logistics plans, and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Mentor and train team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in construction estimating and project management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to continuously improve estimating processes and procedures.
Requirements
  • Proven track record in successfully estimating complex construction projects from initiation to completion.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of estimators.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction principles, processes, practices, and pricing.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software, such as ProEst, BuildingConnected, and Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction estimating and project management.
