Job Summary

The Compounder will be responsible for the manufacturing of bulk food products to be filled and packed as required by the daily production schedule. This operation is to be performed keeping safety as a primary objective and following established GMP, Safety, and Regulatory food services procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

Ensure the precise formulation of production lots by accurately measuring and blending chemical compounds as per specified formulas.
Read and interpret formulas to determine product specifications, processing information, and technical information.
Operate and oversee mixing machinery, ensuring correct setup, loading, and operation for a variety of food products to maintain consistent product quality.
Calibrate and upkeep equipment utilized in the formulation process, such as scales and meters, to ensure precision and compliance.
Conduct necessary procedures to adjust product pH for in-process testing prior to production line release.
Execute batch formulation utilizing volumetric and gravimetric processes, adhering to batch record specifications.
Clean and sanitize tanks, equipment, and containers utilized in the product formulation process, following standard operating procedures and maintaining cGMP standards.
Complete requisite forms to record production volumes (batches) and adhere to prevailing standards.

Requirements

1+ year of experience in Compounding.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Ability to accurately weigh and measure chemicals in both powder and liquid forms, and comprehend and follow written SOPs relevant to the formulation department.
Knowledge of cGMP in a food production facility.
Knowledge of transfer valves, pumps, etc to transfer bulk products from manufacturing to run tanks.
Preferred experience in manufacturing-related industries and powder or food production
Proficient in multitasking and working under pressure.
