About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Threat Hunter to join our team at Palo Alto Networks. As a member of our Unit 42 Threat Intelligence team, you will play a critical role in identifying and tracking advanced threats, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive the development of threat intelligence capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully hunting for threats, with expertise in advanced threat hunting methodologies, attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). You will be responsible for delivering actionable threat intelligence to Incident Response and Product teams, as well as collaborating with External Engagement Team to create and/or contribute to blogs, white papers, and updates on major cyber events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hunt for threats using advanced threat hunting methodologies and TTPs
  • Deliver actionable threat intelligence to Incident Response and Product teams
  • Collaborate with External Engagement Team to create and/or contribute to blogs, white papers, and updates on major cyber events
  • Provide expert analysis and strategic insights on emerging threats and vulnerabilities

Requirements
  • Proven experience in threat hunting and in-depth technical security research
  • Deep understanding of advanced threat hunting methodologies and TTPs
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Python and/or other equivalent languages
  • Experience with threat intelligence platforms, preferably Vertex Synapse
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
