Job Title: Operations Manager B

Bay Area Turning Point (BATP) is seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager B to join our team. As a key member of our Client Services Program, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our agency facilities, vehicles, and technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct support and supervision to the Maintenance Specialist to ensure continuity of maintenance, timely repairs, and upkeep of our facilities, vehicles, and grounds.
  • Assist with scheduling and maintaining current inspections of our facilities, including fire suppression systems, smoke alarms, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, and more.
  • Manage our agency operations inventory, including updating as needed and making annual budget recommendations based on inventory needs.
  • Oversee our capital maintenance spending and ensure compliance with agency budget.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with vendors and volunteers who assist with maintenance and operations.
  • Serve as the Volunteer Supervisor, providing training and engagement of volunteers for maintenance.
  • Submit purchase requests for approval for maintenance needs based on the agency budget.
  • Oversight of our recycling program for technology, including scheduling.
  • Consult with the supervisor regarding any critical situations within the department.
  • Maintain knowledge of overall agency objectives and activities.
  • Serve in the appropriate step in the dispute resolution process for staff, volunteers, and clients.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in managing employees.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in coordination of projects, operations, etc.
  • Education and Other Requirements: Minimum of a 4-year degree in Business, Management, or comparable experience.
  • Must pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle report, and reference checks.
  • Must have a clean driving record and automobile insurance coverage.
  • Ability to lift/carry/move a minimum of 40 lbs. for an extended distance.
Job-Specific Competencies:
  • Management of staff and volunteers, including scheduling, on-the-job training, professional growth, and employee documentation.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills to assist staff with in-the-moment issues.
  • Sensitivity regarding the issues of family violence and sexual assault and the ability to remain calm in crisis situations.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, teamwork environment.
  • Ability to delegate responsibilities effectively.
  • High comfort level working in a diverse environment.
