Fellowship in Educational Leadership

At Marlborough School, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment that prepares students for success in an ever-changing world. We seek a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our Violets for Building Equity in Education (ViBEE) Fellowship program as a Fellow in Educational Leadership.
This is a 2-year post-baccalaureate fellowship position that provides an opportunity to train and teach alongside experienced faculty while concurrently earning a Master's degree in educational studies. The fellow will work closely with the ViBEE Program Head, a mentor teacher, and administrative leadership to co-teach 2-3 courses and develop the skills necessary to thrive in independent schools, community-minded organizations, and beyond.
- Salary: $50,000 per year, plus benefits and tuition coverage.
- Teaching stipend: Market-based pay.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in education, a respect for cultural diversity, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities. They should be highly motivated and independent, yet team-oriented, with an adaptable mindset and flexible attitude. A willingness to accept and adapt to feedback is also essential.

- Co-teach 2-3 courses.

- Participate in professional development and training workshops.
In addition to the specified roles listed above, the fellow may also be asked to participate in one or more opportunities for hands-on leadership, such as providing additional support to the community as an advisor, grade-level team member, event chaperone, etc.
The ViBEE fellow will be supported by a teaching salary commensurate with a part-time faculty appointment and enroll in coursework to earn a fully-funded Master of Arts in Educational Studies from Loyola Marymount University.
Applicants must be a graduate of Marlborough School, identify as Black/African-American, and be within 1-3 years of having received their Bachelor's degree. Up to two qualified applicants will be accepted to the ViBEE fellowship program each academic year.
