Crown Heights Residence: Site Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team at Crown Heights Residence, a leading provider of affordable housing in Brooklyn, NY.

Job Summary:

The Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our 54-unit HUD Section 202 Supportive Housing Project. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for property management and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage tenant relations, ensuring timely completion of selection processes, background checks, and move-in certifications.
  • Maintain accurate records and update tenant files, perform annual re-certifications, and complete move-out certifications.
  • Investigate tenant complaints promptly and communicate effectively with tenants regarding emergencies, repairs, and other important matters.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining a Tenant Association, promoting community engagement and resident satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as federal, state, and local laws.
  • Monitor and follow up on violations related to ECB, FDNY, and DEP.
  • Engage regularly with HUD online systems, including the HUD Exchange and Federal Register.
  • Utilize HUD EIV systems for tenant reports, income verification, and user requests.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs with superintendents and general contractors, ensuring work is performed efficiently and professionally.
  • Perform quarterly inspections to maintain units and common areas, adhering to REAC inspection standards.
  • Follow rent collection policies and procedures, assisting with audits and ensuring compliance with Company Management Plans.
  • Communicate with senior management on any issues or concerns, providing recommendations for solutions.
  • Monitor purchases, maintain inventory logs, and conduct monthly audits.
  • Contribute to updating Site Management Plans, Tenant Selection Plans, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Prepare monthly reports summarizing site activities, highlighting successes and challenges.

Requirements:

  • College degree preferred or relevant experience in property management.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in property management, with a strong understanding of PRAC Contract properties.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and knowledge of RIS and Yardi programs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and management skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups.
