This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service via phone calls, ensuring timely claims application processing and detailed claim note documentation. The ideal candidate will follow client specifications when assisting with questions and solving problems related to the claims application and servicing processes.

  • Educate customers about required documentation, time frames, payment information, and claim status through multiple communication channels.
  • Instruct claimants on client requirements and benefit plans, documenting all necessary details in a concise and professional manner.
  • Accurately enter verbal and written application information into the claims management system, meeting both internal and external customer requirements.
  • Assign new claims to the appropriate claims handler.
  • Redirect customer calls to relevant contacts or escalate to Service Center Specialists/management as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Process claims applications efficiently while maintaining excellent communication with clients.
  2. Effectively communicate complex information to customers, ensuring clear understanding of their rights and obligations.
  3. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, including claim notes and resolution outcomes.
Requirements:
  • One (1) year of customer service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience in inbound call centers is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Understanding of claims management principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to multitask.
Working Conditions:
  • Typing on computer keyboards for extended periods.
  • Travel as required for business purposes.
