Behavioral Health Specialist for Maritime Mental Health

We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Maritime Behavioral Health Management. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to our patients in Boston and Dedham, MA.

ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to identify mental health disorders and conditions.
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized treatment plans for patients, considering both pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments.
- Prescribing and managing medications, monitoring their efficacy and side effects, and making adjustments as necessary.
- Providing psychoeducation to patients and their families to help them understand the nature of their conditions and the treatment options available.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and counselors, to ensure the highest level of care for patients.
- Keeping detailed, accurate, and timely patient records, including diagnoses, treatments, and progress.
- Staying updated with the latest advancements and best practices in psychiatric nursing.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
- Current board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
- A valid state license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Experience in psychiatric practice is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Exceptional ethical judgment and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
