Talent Search PRO seeks a distinguished professional to fill the esteemed position of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Training Program Director. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished psychiatrist to lead a renowned training program, leveraging their expertise to shape the future of child and adolescent psychiatry.
Key Responsibilities- Program Administration:
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive system for fellow recruitment, evaluation, and selection.
- Establish and monitor training program goals and objectives, ensuring compliance with ACGME/Residency Review Committee standards.
- Curriculum and Evaluation:
- Create and implement a curriculum evaluation system to assess trainee progress and competencies.
- Evaluate and provide regular feedback on trainee performance, maintaining accurate records.
- Faculty Development:
- Evaluate and develop faculty performance, fostering growth and excellence in teaching and supervision.
- Provide faculty development programs, supporting faculty in their roles as teachers and mentors.
- Clinical Supervision and Teaching:
- Offer direct clinical supervision and participate in didactic and clinical conferences.
- Teach and supervise residents and fellows, including providing lectures for medical students.
- Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide consultation and liaison psychiatric services to patients in the Emergency Department and medical floors at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children.
- Deliver direct patient care at or through 1427 Vine Street Clinic.
- Serve a patient population primarily consisting of adolescents and children, with some adults.
- A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree, completed ACGME or AOA accredited residency in psychiatry and accredited fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry.
- Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in Pennsylvania.
- Prior experience as a program director or associate training director is highly desirable.
- Eligibility for appointment to the faculty at least at the level of Assistant Professor.
- Strong interpersonal, clinical, and team-building skills.
- Knowledgeable in multiple psychotherapeutic approaches.
- Research experience preferred.
