CEDCO: The Mill Casino Hotel & RV Park is seeking a skilled Maintenance Groundskeeper to maintain the grounds of our parking lots and assist Maintenance personnel as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for employees and guests.
- Fill propane tanks.
- Clean showers, toilets, and laundry facility in the RV Park.
- Clean and service equipment in the Laundry Mill.
- Cut lawns, trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls.
- Prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs.
- Spray lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides. Rake and bag leaves for disposal.
- Clean grounds and remove litter.
- Sweep/shovel debris from walks and driveways.
- Assist maintenance workers when needed.
- Plant grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs. Water lawn and shrubs.
- Repair fences, gates, walls, and walks. Paint fences and outbuildings.
- Clean out drainage ditches and culverts.
- Sharpen tools such as weed cutters, edging tools, and shears.
- Make minor repairs on equipment.
- Pick up and deliver tools, supplies, and equipment both on the grounds and locally.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) strongly desired with one to three months of related general labor experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
- OR Driver's License in good standing highly desirable.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug-free workplace policies.
Work Environment:
The Maintenance Groundskeeper will work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions. The employee will be required to stand for extended periods, frequently walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee will occasionally work in high, precarious places and be frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. The employee will occasionally be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The employee will frequently be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Occasionally sit. Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, manage anger, fear, hostility, and violence of others appropriately. The casino work environment may expose you to second-hand smoke on a regular basis.
