Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Wolter, Inc. in Louisville, KY.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that involves installing, inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing crane and hoist equipment on customer premises. The ideal candidate will have excellent electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills, as well as experience with welding and fabricating.

Responsibilities
  • Complete all service jobs assigned to you in a timely manner.
  • Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on overhead cranes and hoists.
  • Conduct on-site electrical, mechanical, structural, and electrical troubleshooting to determine the cause of equipment malfunction.
  • Update and maintain customer bearings and mechanical gearbox systems.
  • Consult with customers regarding repair and safety-related issues and discuss recommendations to improve their material handling needs.
  • Attend service training classes offered to maintain knowledge on new products or refreshers on products not encountered too often.
  • Complete and submit all paperwork daily for jobs worked on (timecards, maintenance reports with customers' signature).
Requirements
  • Excellent electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills. Some electronic experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with welding and fabricating.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Steel handling and rigging experience.
  • Must be comfortable working in elevated locations.
  • A valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Must have your own tools, strong customer service skills, and be dependable.
