Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at CSL Plasma. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective collection of plasma from donors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform venipuncture and monitor the pheresis process to ensure high-quality plasma collection.
  • Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Food & Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines to ensure donor safety and product quality.
  • Evaluate vein performance and make necessary corrections to expedite donation time and ensure product quality.
  • Provide excellent customer service to donors, answering questions and addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Use a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to record incidents and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Monitor donor flow and alert supervisors to any issues.
  • Collect arm samples or whole blood samples from donors for testing.
  • Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum twelve (12) months experience in a medical or health care environment preferred.
  • State certification as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician I or current Registered Nurse by the State of California required for centers located in CA.
