Manufacturing Operations Lead

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Lead to oversee the safe and efficient operations of our converting production. This is a challenging opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead a team, drive results, and advance their career in a dynamic industry.

Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this position is approximately $75,000 - $90,000 per year, reflecting skills, competencies, and potential. A generous benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k match, paid time off, and opportunities for learning and development.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the day-to-day operations of the shift, ensuring all company standards and customer commitments (safety, quality, production, cost, on-time delivery) are met.
- Be a champion for change, drive results to bring the facility from Good to Great.
- Supervise daily production activities, including oversight of team members, and monitor performance levels of each team member.
- Lead and coach employees to meet safety, quality, production, and all other key performance indicators of a fast-paced work team.
- Enforce plant safety regulations and encourage employees to become safety conscious.
- Build relationships with internal departments to produce a superior product, resulting in happy customers.
- Help build a world-class team, training your successor as you advance your WestRock career.
- Ensure all company safety policies and safe work practices are followed to ensure safety of self and others.
- Monitor and participate in Daily Management Systems (DMS) to track progress against production goals and enable performance excellence.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to be an on-shift resource for printing troubleshooting problems is highly desired.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery; corrugated packaging or printing is a plus.
- Experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma).
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, ability to learn new software applications.
- Proven successful track record in managing, motivating, and building teams.
