Position Overview: As a key contributor, you will provide guidance and support to Government leaders in the establishment and execution of the EUCOM Joint Exercise Program. Your role will be pivotal in crafting effective, dependable, and adaptive joint exercise support to enhance EUCOM staff training across various warfighting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the execution of exercises in specialized domains, aligning with established warfighting functions.
  • Collaborate closely with EUCOM J7 to deliver customized assistance for Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) events.
  • Leverage military expertise alongside technical skills to ensure the development, refinement, and execution of optimized war and contingency plans.
  • Provide specialized knowledge in relevant warfighting functions to support exercise programs and staff training objectives.
  • Deliver technical services as required to aid in assessments, analyses, and operational design.
  • Offer analytical and technical support for the planning, preparation, rehearsal, execution, and evaluation of computer-aided joint and combined training events and exercises.
  • Assist in the planning of the Joint Exercise Program (JEP), including scenario development, synchronization workshops, joint simulations, exercise control group operations, after-action reviews, senior leader seminars, interoperability workshops, and table-top exercises.
  • Support multinational engagement initiatives, including collaboration with other Department of Defense (DoD) and non-DoD entities.
  • Utilize the Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS) alongside the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) and the Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS) to identify, collect, analyze, store, and disseminate data necessary for the implementation of the Joint Training System (JTS) and the maintenance of a command joint training program.
  • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the organizational mission, functions, command relationships, issues, goals, objectives, and administrative/support processes to enhance support for the warfighting command.
  • Review proposed directives to ensure alignment with command guidance.
  • Evaluate existing doctrine and procedures to ensure they meet organizational objectives, Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct administrative and coordination activities related to Joint Doctrine and Joint TTPs.

  • Master's Degree or completion of an advanced U.S. military officer-training course is preferred.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience within the U.S. Department of Defense, with expertise in operations, logistics, intelligence, simulations, assessments (ORSA), or plans, strategy, and policy.
  • At least three years of experience in Joint operations (EUCOM preferred) or NATO experience.
