Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of innovative products and the provision of technical assistance to production facilities and clients. Key responsibilities include analyzing materials to ascertain their composition and elemental concentration, as well as conducting rigorous testing to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Independently formulate new specialty chemical products and industrial materials tailored to customer specifications within the construction and industrial sectors.
  • Design and implement DOE (Design of Experiments) and FEMA methodologies for product development.
  • Establish new product quality assurance criteria to guarantee product excellence and performance.
  • Facilitate the transfer of new products and technologies to the Processing division.
  • Conduct preliminary material assessments and secure material approvals from clients.
  • Offer technical support to manufacturing facilities to ensure product integrity.
Qualifications
  • A Master's degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the specified role or a closely related position.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in each of the following areas (concurrent experience is acceptable):
    • Practical industrial experience with polyester concrete overlays, cement-based mortars, mortar/concrete admixtures, and concrete products.
    • Familiarity with specific laboratory equipment for testing mortars, polyester concrete, and standard concrete products.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project Management tools.
  • Exceptional presentation abilities and strong technical and business writing skills.
  • Proficient in DOE, Design FEMA, and other quality assurance programs.
  • Solid computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project Management applications.
