Job Title: Primary Care Physician

The role of a Primary Care Physician at VHC Health is to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals in a timely manner. The physician works in collaboration with other staff members to provide comprehensive healthcare services.



Responsibilities:


  • Provide quality clinical care to patients
  • Support objectives, budget, and performance metrics
  • Implement quality control standards, risk management, and compliance programs
  • Collaborate with other staff members to provide comprehensive healthcare services


Requirements:


  • Doctorate from an accredited medical school
  • One year of medical/surgical experience
  • Licensed to practice medicine by the Virginia Department of Health Professions


Working Conditions:

The work environment is well-lighted and ventilated, with frequent interruptions. The physician may be required to work beyond normal working hours, including overtime and on-call shifts. Routine occupational exposure to infectious diseases, blood-borne pathogens, and hazardous chemicals is possible.



The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is necessary for instances of exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious processes. The hospital supplies PPE for these situations.



The physician will be involved with patients, family members, co-workers, and visitors under all conditions, including hostile and emotionally upset individuals.
