About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the City of New York's Division of Code Enforcement as a Code Enforcement Coordinator - Community Services Specialist. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory obligations, working closely with community partners to identify buildings in distress and develop strategies to address them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Lead performance reports and recommend changes to improve performance outcomes
  • Maintain accurate records and logs, including statistical reports and inventory management
  • Provide technical assistance and training to staff on program implementation and management
  • Assist the Lead Unit Chief and Deputy Chief with special projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community-centered activities
  • High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community-centered activities

Salary and Benefits:

The annual salary for this position is estimated to be around $60,000 - $80,000, depending on qualifications and experience. The City of New York offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
