Postpartum Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Postpartum Registered Nurse to join our team at The Arora Group. As a Postpartum Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to postpartum patients, including those with high-risk obstetrical conditions.
Responsibilities:- Coordinate patient care through a continuum and facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to care, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain excellent patient assessment skills and use the nursing process as a basis for professional practice.
- Perform/assist with clinic-specific procedures, in accordance with established policies and guidelines.
- Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment, such as IV infusion pumps and cardiac monitoring devices.
- Provide excellent oral communication skills for patient/family education and prescribe and communicate treatment plans in accordance with established Labor and Delivery protocols.
- Knowledge of a variety of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment, including dosage calculations and administration.
- Demonstrate excellent written communication skills to perform accurate documentation, both written and electronic, of all activity.
- Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and react quickly and appropriately in emergency situations.
- Act on all medical and therapeutic orders in a timely manner.
- Can demonstrate and adhere to peri-operative, infection control, and safety policies and procedures.
- Schedule referral appointments, arrange for procedures, and perform telephone follow-up, as appropriate.
- Can demonstrate good time management skills and delegate tasks and duties in the coordination of healthcare team members, patient care, and unit activities.
- Formulate and use effective working relationships with all healthcare team members, patients, and significant others.
- Practice effective problem identification and resolution skills as a method of sound decision making.
- Review and make appropriate notation on the chart of a patient at least once in an 8-hour shift, or per unit-specific requirements.
- Perform other duties within the scope of RN practice as requested.
- Degree/Education: A graduate of a National League of Nursing (NLN) approved program in Registered Nursing.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- S.T.A.B.L.E Certification
- Valid, unrestricted, RN license at least 1 state, territory, or commonwealth.
- Experience as a Registered Nurse for 3 years with at least two years as an RN caring for high-risk obstetrical patients.
