Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our dynamic construction team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our construction projects, including coordinating workers, materials, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
  • Ensure compliance with building and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
  • Monitor work progress daily.
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve emerging issues.
  • Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
  • Maintain quality construction standards and proper techniques.
  • Manage site logistics.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a residential Superintendent or in a similar role in construction management.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with construction/project management software.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • A team player with leadership abilities.
  • BSc/BA in engineering, building science, or relevant field.
  • PMP or an equivalent certification would be considered an asset.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $65,000 - $90,000.
