Job Title: Pediatrician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatrician to join our team at Nexus HR Services. As a Pediatrician, you will be responsible for providing primary care to infants, children, and teenagers in a community health clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide culturally competent primary care to patients from diverse backgrounds
  • Assist in the development and implementation of chronic disease and health management programs
  • Provide instruction and training to medical staff as needed
  • Diagnose, treat, and help to prevent diseases and injuries to young people
  • Follow and administer care to patients from infancy through young adulthood
  • Submit reports as necessary
  • Provide emergency services when appropriate
  • Makes referrals to appropriate sub-specialists for specialized examination, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Coordinates with other departments to ensure adequate follow-up and continuity of care
Requirements:
  • Medical Doctor degree or D.O. degree from an accredited college or university
  • Board certified or eligible in Pediatrics
  • One year of clinical experience in a clinic environment
  • Must be insurable for liability as a Pediatrician
  • Current knowledge and skills in pediatrics
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with staff
  • A strong commitment to care for an underserved population
  • Experience in providing care for multi-cultural populations
  • Superlative customer service skills
  • Knowledge of and ability to relate to the American Indian community and other minority populations
  • Flexibility, initiative, and reliability
  • Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with health care and human services professionals
  • Possession of a current California driver's license and automobile insurance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Qualified American Indian/Alaskan Natives in accordance with the American Indian Preference Act (Title 25, US Code Sections 472, 473, and 473b)
