Day Support Professional

Estimated Salary: $35,000 - $40,000 per year, based on 30 hours of work per week.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about providing support and empowering individuals to achieve their goals and live independently.
About the Role:
We are seeking a Day Support Professional to join our team at Brockton Area Multi-Servi. As a Day Support Professional, you will be responsible for providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or brain injuries in day programs and community settings.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with personal care tasks, such as toileting, grooming, and mobility assistance.
- Support individuals in completing daily living activities, such as cooking, cleaning, and safety skills.
- Utilize Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) practices to create a supportive environment that reflects the preferences and needs of individuals.
- Ensure individuals' nutritional needs are met, and assist with feeding as necessary.
- Use adaptive equipment and tools to support individuals' health and well-being.
- Plan and implement community-based activities and group activities to promote skill-building and independence.
- Develop and implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs) to meet the unique needs of each individual.
- Transport individuals to and from day programs and activities as required.
- Record data and maintain accurate documentation of individual progress and experiences.
Requirements:
- At least 3 months experience implementing behavioral support plans and emergency physical interventions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- A minimum of one year experience working with individuals with brain injury, developmental, and/or physical disabilities.
- Ability to record data using a computer, enter time worked into an electronic system, and receive emails.
- Valid driver's license in state of residence preferred.
- Ability to lift, transfer, push/pull, maneuver, and reposition up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Work effectively in a moderate to occasionally loud work environment.
