Spectrum Center Schools and Programs, a leading organization with a strong social mission, is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Support Specialist to join their award-winning team. This dynamic role involves providing expert behavioral support and consultation across multiple Spectrum School locations within an assigned region.

About the Role:

This key position requires a Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field, as well as valid certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board at the BCBA level. Experience in training and implementing ABA techniques, including effective teaching strategies and data-driven decision-making, is essential. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of working with individuals with severe learning, emotional behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and other related disabilities.

The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) for all designated schools, creating and implementing behavior intervention plans, supporting the development of measurable IEP goals, and facilitating progress monitoring in collaboration with on-site instructional personnel. Additionally, they will implement evidence-based interventions by applying scientifically proven behavioral and educational strategies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conducting FBAs to identify causes and functions of students' challenging behaviors
  • Creating and implementing BIPs that align with Spectrum standards and district guidelines
  • Supporting the development of measurable IEP goals and facilitating progress monitoring
  • Implementing evidence-based interventions using scientifically proven strategies
  • Providing crisis management intervention and support for students exhibiting aggressive or self-injurious behavior

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field
  • Valid certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board at the BCBA level
  • Experience in training and implementing ABA techniques
  • Prior experience working with individuals with severe learning, emotional behavioral disorders, and autism spectrum disorders

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 per year, based on location and experience. This compensation package also includes opportunities for growth and development within the organization.
