Transplant Nurse Specialist

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Transplant Nurse Specialist to join our team at Seattle Children's.
Job Description:
As a Transplant Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care to individuals undergoing solid organ transplantation. Your expertise will be utilized to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, ensuring that each individual receives the highest level of care and support throughout their transplant journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' physical, emotional, and psychological needs
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient's unique needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
- Current Washington State RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers
- Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- At least 2 years of experience in pediatric nursing, preferably in transplant care
