Job Title: Component Production Technician

Van Metre Companies is seeking a skilled Component Production Technician to join our New Homes Division. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe production of components, including panels and roofs, while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce trusses and wall panels that meet or exceed industry standards for quality.
  • Cut, set up, assemble, sort, rack, mark, and band roof trusses and wall panels according to specifications.
  • Place finished goods in their assigned bundle or on designated pallets.
  • Notify supervisors of any mechanical or material issues.
  • Meet production guidelines and maintain a safe and clean production area.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Forklift and machinery training preferred.
  • 1-2 years of previous experience in a production environment.
  • Proven ability to apply math, writing, and language skills.
Working Conditions:
  • Physical demands of the job require vision, speech, and hearing.
  • Environmental factors include manufacturing facility exposure.
  • Hours of work: 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday - Thursday.
