Job Summary:

St. Joseph Catholic School is seeking a qualified Certified PE Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching physical education to students in a Catholic school environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to the mission of the school and be able to model the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church in their daily interactions with students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach physical education to students in a Catholic school environment.
  • Model the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church in daily interactions with students.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the academic and religious curriculum requirements of the school.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
  • Participate in school religious and service activities.
  • Lead and participate in classroom prayer daily.


Requirements:

  • Certified by the State of Arizona as a Teacher with renewal per state law.
  • Level I of the Diocesan Ministry Certification with renewal every three years.
  • Excellent communications skills including written, oral, public speaking, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent human relations and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer technology including word processing and the use of excel and related technology.


Working Conditions:

The Teacher shall have and demonstrate coordination and manual dexterity, normal mental and visual capabilities, and the ability to lift as required in a normal office environment. The Teacher shall be available for evening and weekend work as necessary and have reliable transportation.
