About the Role

As a Youth Care Specialist Supervisor, you will provide leadership and supervision to a team of Youth Care Specialists, fostering a safe and secure environment that promotes growth and development.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise Team Members: Lead and guide your direct reports to ensure the highest standards of care and support are maintained.
  • Schedule Development: Assist in creating work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Performance Management: Provide regular feedback to team members, focusing on positive reinforcement and constructive guidance to drive growth and development.
  • Youth Support: Instruct youth in essential life skills, including facility maintenance and equipment handling, while promoting a culture of respect and responsibility.
  • Crisis Intervention: Respond effectively to crisis situations, using authorized training methods and protocols to maintain a safe environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED: A minimum educational requirement for this role.
  • Supervisory Experience: Six consecutive months of experience in a supervisory position is essential.
  • Experience Working with Youth: A minimum of one year of experience working with young people, preferably within the juvenile justice system.

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
