Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician

Norton Children's Development Center, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, is seeking a skilled Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician to join our multidisciplinary team. The selected candidate will evaluate children with various developmental conditions, including global developmental delay, intellectual developmental disorder, autism spectrum disorder, and complex attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder.
About the Role
This is an academic faculty position in the UofL School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics, with teaching responsibilities for medical students, pediatric residents, developmental-behavioral fellows, psychology interns, and other trainees. The ideal candidate will have experience in psychopharmacology and medication management of complex cases, although this is not necessary. The position offers a multidisciplinary setting with subspecialty support, resources for research through Norton Children's Research Institute, and a competitive salary and academic rank commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for evaluating children with various developmental conditions, including global developmental delay, intellectual developmental disorder, autism spectrum disorder, and complex attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. The pediatrician will work closely with other specialists from the University of Louisville School of Medicine Division of Genetics and Norton Children's Autism Center to provide comprehensive multidisciplinary care for children with genetic syndromes and autism spectrum disorder. The pediatrician will also have the opportunity to participate in research through Norton Children's Research Institute and teach medical students, pediatric residents, developmental-behavioral fellows, psychology interns, and other trainees.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, the candidate must have a medical degree/diploma, be board certified/board eligible, and have residency/fellowship certification. Experience in psychopharmacology and medication management of complex cases is preferred but not necessary. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
