Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate to join our team at Chenega Professional Services, LLC. As a key member of our organization, you will provide critical support to victims of domestic abuse, promoting their safety and well-being.

About the Role
  • You will be responsible for providing 24/7 response to victims alleging domestic abuse, establishing victim safety plans, and collaborating with treatment managers and mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • With your expertise, you will empower victims to make informed decisions, prioritize actions, and establish short- and long-term goals.
  • As a system advocate, you will continually evaluate the quality of our installation's coordinated community response and collaborate with base agencies to improve the system response to victims.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Victim Support: Provide confidential and non-clinical emergent and urgent services to victims of domestic abuse, including emergency contact information, safety planning, and referrals to local resources.
  2. Safety Planning: Develop and review safety plans with victims, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
  3. Collaboration: Work closely with treatment managers, mental health professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care and support for victims.
  4. System Advocacy: Evaluate the quality of our installation's coordinated community response and collaborate with base agencies to improve the system response to victims.
  5. Education and Outreach: Participate in education and outreach activities to promote awareness about domestic abuse and its impact on individuals and families.
Requirements
  • A minimum of [salary] per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • A bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with victims of domestic abuse or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
